Hey hey hey! I am so incredibly excited that it’s my off Friday and the weekend! I’m looking forward to some relaxing!

Last weekend me, my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece spend the afternoon at our local botanical gardens. It was a great afternoon and some good family time! I don’t think I’ve ever actually been to the gardens to go; I’ve only ever been to walk through the Christmas lights they set up every year. I was super impressed with the whole thing, and I’d love to go back!

It was really pretty all over, and they had it decorated for fall with pumpkins!

View when you walk into the gardens
Pumpkins pumpkins everywhere!

They had these super cute pumpkin statues all over!

This was “Under the Sea” actually reminds me of The Little Mermaid during that song!
These were swans!!
This teacup was my favorite!
Real life: my sister trying to get a picture with her kids…

They had a nice little hayride to take you from near the entrance to the top of the Scarecrow Trail.

My sister and I on the hayride!

The hayride dropped us off at the sorghum maze which had this cute guy standing guard…

My. Potato Head!!!

This awesome bridge led us out

From there we wondered through the garden checking out the cool scarecrows.

I liked this gardener
My nephew LOVED this “triangle” haha
This was a “potato head” scarecrow!
My nephew thought this scarecrow was SO funny!! He said “silly pumpkin!”
It’s me! Mario!

I was so surprised by the number of playgrounds the gardens had for kids! We stopped at a smaller pirate themed one while we were on the trail.

Super cool playground
My niece got to play a little in on the pirate ship.

We moved on to the big children’s area. We all had a lot of fun here! There were a lot of difference sections with different themes for kids to play in. There was also quite a few different water play areas. We also found these super huge chairs and took turns sitting in them!

My sister. She’s sitting in the chair the “right way.” Aka the less work to get out of it way, lol.
They had these places where you could take a picture all over!
I like this picture I got of my sister and niece.
This area was Goldilocks and the Three Bears themed
Cool arch with gourds.
The secret garden!!
Giant checkers!

They have this beautiful building where they have weddings and events. If we were to ever to a vowel renewal or something, I’d definitely look into the gardens!!

Beautiful venue for an event!

We all had such a great time at the botanical gardens! My sister and brother-in-law have a season pass and go all the time. I definitely understand why! My nephew has a blast here, and it’s a fun outdoor activity for him!

Tip for locals: they give a discount on the entrance fee if you bank at Redstone Federal Credit Union.

What are some fun things that you like to do with your family?
