Hey hey hey! So today is my 30th birthday, and I can’t say I’m super excited about it. However, I do enjoy celebrating my birthday. So I thought I’d do something a little fun and provide 30 things about me for my 30th birthday!

  1. I love to read. My favorites are series. I love a series so much more than a single story because you can really get lost in a series more than with just one book.
  2. I’m weird with my books of a series, and all of them must match. So basically whatever cover the first one I buy has, all of the others must be the same: hardback or paperback, and the same cover edition. I will buy replacements if I have a book that doesn’t match the others.
  3. My favorite series is Harry Potter. I’ve probably read the entire series 6 or 7 times. Kingsley is actually named after Kingsley Shacklebolt from the series!

With the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students!
  4. I’ve had the same best friends since like 6th or 7th grade. I honestly can’t remember anymore when we all became friends.

I’ve had this picture taped into its frame for so long that I’m afraid to take it out, haha!
  5. My favorite clothing brand is Lilly Pulitzer. I can’t get enough of the bright colors. My favorite prints are the older ones that featured animals, and I’m so glad to see those are coming back!!
  6. I love Disney World also! I never get bored there and always have the time of my life! I haven’t been in 2 years, and I’m definitely missing it!!

2015, can’t wait to go back!
  7. I especially love Disney princesses, but only the original ones: Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, and Ariel. I don’t have time for Ana and Elsa at all.
  8. My dream vacation would be to Europe. Fingers crossed we’re going to be taking this trip sometime soon!
  9. My sister has totally become my best friend. She helps to keep me grounded, and always has a logical plan for things when I’m freaking out (like a fire in my oven)!! She’s aways down for hanging even if its just wondering around Target. She’s totally awesome.

  10. My sister and I have a constant Facebook message going. We talk basically all day, chat right up until bed, and keep talking as soon as we wake up. I sometimes even get to wake up to fun pictures of my niece and nephew!
  11. I LOVE cookies! Especially chocolate chip right out of the oven, yum! I once had a 15 minute phone conversation with one of my close friends at work about cookies.
  12. I have developed an unhealthy, or possibly healthy, obsession with skincare lately. I can’t get enough products!!
  13. I once accidentally pushed a kid in a fountain outside of a restaurant.
  14. I love dance! I took my first class when I was like 3 (I think?). I danced all the way through college.
  15. I was the captain of my college dance team, the UAB Blazerettes, my senior year.

    Ever faithful, ever loyal
  16. I really, really hate aimless shopping. If I need something, I don’t mind going to every store to find exactly what I’m looking for, but I do not want to just go “see what they have!” This irritates my mom to no end because she loves shopping.
  17. I do, however, love online shopping! I can spend more time than necessary online shopping.
  18. My personality is basically the same as my dad’s. I’ve heard “you are just like your father” from my mom more times than I can count.
  19. I love the St. Louis Cardinals. I can watch them anytime, in person or on TV. I love being at Busch Stadium for a game; there’s nothing like it!

  20. My favorite foods are sushi and seafood.
  21. When I was wedding dress shopping. I came out in what was my favorite dress before we got to the shop. My dad stood next to me and said he felt like he was standing next to Belle at Disney World. That pretty much sealed the deal for me with my dress!

  22. I was sent to a leadership training class for work where I took the legit Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test. I am an INFJ, which according to that post that’s been circulating around Facebook, is the rarest personality type in the world.
  23. I really love math and numbers and most subjects that incorporate those subjects.
  24. The one class that I found most boring and skipped most often in undergrad was Supply Chain Management. That is the field that I currently work in, and surprisingly, I love it.
  25. In general, I do not like kids. I like my nephew and niece, and a few other kids I’ve known for a long time. But in general, being around kids sounds like probably the worst time ever.
  26. I despise onions with a passion. If a recipe calls for onion, I ignore it. If I see onions in my food, I will pick them out, ALL of them. My mom has thought she was sneaky and been sneaking onions in some recipes, my sister and I have caught her. Onions are pretty much from the devil. For whatever reason, Stephen thinks they’re like the best thing ever and he wants them in everything!!!
  27. I participated in a Disney half marathon 2 years ago. It was one that took place a night, and due to an incoming storm, the race got cut in half to 7.5 miles. This worked in my favor because I had peroneal tendonitis in both legs and was worried about finishing the complete race. I do have a goal of doing a full half-marathon though.

  28. I took cake decorating classes right after college while I was job searching. I figured if I couldn’t find a job at least I’d have some type of skill to fall back on. I made a pretty sweet cake for my of my close friend’s baby shower. It took literally all night, and I never made a fancy cake like that again.

The only fancy cake I’ve ever made.
  29. I really, really love Christmas! I love the decorations, the music, the food, and the loving kindness all around!
  30. On Saturday, I will graduate with my Master’s Degree in Logistics!

There are 30 things about me! I’m looking forward to an awesome office Christmas party today to distract me from the fact that I’m now 30, haha! Stephen actually got me tickets to see The Lion King musical in Atlanta in January, so I’m very thrilled about that!

Have a great day!

  1. First, Happy Birthday!! Second, congratulations on the degree! That’s seriously awesome. And I’m not a big kid person either. I mean, I love my own, but whole groups of them stress me out.
